iOS App: Auto log-in across updates
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: mlle.julie.w

Description:
Each time I install a new update from TestFlight, I have to log-in again.

Other iOS apps keep me logged in even after updates. It would be great if the Wikipedia app would do the same. I generally find myself less likely to update and/or use an app/website/service/program if it requires me to log in regularly and this may be true for others.

I think this is intentional for now (Brion or Monte can confirm). The release email for #29 said: "Onboarding screen with create account and sign in buttons. Note: presently the onboarding will appear after *each* app cold start. This is to allow easy testing. Will update to only show one time once this patch has been signed off."

I'm not sure that it is; I'm pretty sure I've had to log in after every update.

There should be nothing requiring you to log in again; there's just the onboardibg prompt on every cold start which you can skip until we add logic to not show it.

Well, okay then! It seems we had crossed wires. :-)
