Create initial Recommended reading/Team Practices bookshelf
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We've received a number of requests from various corners of the organization for recommended reading on subjects relevant to our team (agile, scrum, team health, facilitation, etc). It would be cool if we had one canonical place we could point people for this kind of information, and it could also serve as a useful reference for everyone in the Team Practices Group. I envision a wiki page (or pages) with pertinent book info (title, author, brief description, perhaps link to amazon or something) as well as some general feedback from whoever's read it (eg "this book was super helpful for me to understand the mechanics of Scrum even though the writing was a bit dense and the author seemed quite dogmatic" or "wonderfully written prose about general team health, although not so useful without practical tips" etc).

It is possible that there is already some kind of book list floating around on some wiki somewhere, perhaps we could join forces, though only if it's on a public wiki - I imagine this could be a valuable resource for folks beyond just WMF staff.

I created a page, linked from the TPG page on mw.o, and populated it with some old content from my personal web site. It's a very rough, outdated start, but at least it's something.

@ksmith, this looks like a great start. feel free to pull this into 'done'
