Adding MW-1.39-release - a fresh install on PHP 8 using PostgreSQL has pg_escape_byeta deprecation warnings, which are linked by the above linked patch:

Cannot reproduce on test2. See https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandbox/TestTimedMediaChinese. Inserted a file called 欧忒耳佩.ogv, and works fine.
