Be able to set or fix a linked item's Wikidata description when shown in the context menu
Open, LowPublic

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a page in VisualEditor that contains a link to [[banana]].
  2. Click the link.
  3. Read the Wikidata 'disambiguation' description in the context menu.

Would it be useful to include a link to the Wikidata item in the context menu, so that editors can add or change this Wikidata field?

Event Timeline

Adding another link to the context menu might be a pretty heavy thing – especially as it would open a new window, to a totally unfamiliar site. I'd rather we allowed people to improve the description locally, perhaps? Or is the desired outcome something more than just changing the description itself?

I believe that the goal is to be able to change the description.
