Calling .focus() on a ve.ce.Surface enables the toolbar, but does not put the cursor in the editor. Key presses go nowhere. This works correctly in Chrome but is broken in Firefox.
This is especially noticeable when you open VE for an article: in Chrome, the cursor is placed at the beginning of the article and you can start typing immediately, while in Firefox you have to click in the article before you can type.
