More discussIon needed. Your wiki is bigger than only three users interested.

We would like to know of the possible difficulties, and if they have been tackled. The key issue seems to have been being able to (or forced to) use signature in discussion and elections. Are they any remaining reasonable obstacles?

Sorry, I've misread. Reverting my project change back.

Signature is possible and will be enabled, discussion are systematic problem as VE isn't designed as discussion tool but as in Wikipedia namespace there is many content page (as rules, sandbox, project pages etc.) VE can be enabled from my point of view. Users should be adviced they shouldn't use VE for discussion because the tool isn't used for it. We can enable Flow for you too. Then specific pages can be marked as talk (and handled by Flow), every other page will be treated as content and edited by VE. Only thing is that Flow pages can't be edited in code.

CCing @Trizek-WMF in that case for review.

I'm afraid being forced to use Flow will be a no-go. Or at least we must make it very clear before proceeding.

Mixed namespaces with both content and discussions may be a problem. There is solutions:

  • use VE on that namespace, with the problem of not having proper discussions working
  • use Flow, but with some limitations
  • move the all discussion on real "talk" namespaces.

For the record, Flow, can be enabled page by page. On some wikis, there is only one page with Flow, like an Help desk.

Unclaiming as there are people who can be helpful more than me. Feel free to assign to me if I will be needed.

@Stryn Is there more support/against votes than at the creation time? I can't understand your language, I'm only clarifying the consensus thing.

From those, I would say that "use VE on that namespace, with the problem of not having proper discussions working" sounds the best choice, but how would not proper discussion work? AFAIK you could still choose whether you use VE or wikitext when writing comments?

Nothing else than what Iivarius said: "you can enable it, but don't force us to use it, because he doesn't like to use it for editing".

Anyway, I wanted to ask the community if we want to do the same as plwiki did, so move the Wikipedia:Wikiprojects to their own namespace.

You will have to use wikitext editor to add colons to create indentations. VE can't and people who want to participate may have/cause troubles with/to the discussion.
