We will be announcing this at the closing of the Vienna hackathon and will send an email out shortly afterwards. Once that is all complete I will close this task.

The following email was sent out as an email to multiple mailing lists. I am closing this task but will still follow it for any comments.
The 2018 Wikimedia Hackathon Committee and the WMF Developer Relations team are very pleased to announce that Barcelona, Spain has been chosen for the location of the 2018 Wikimedia Hackathon. The unconfirmed but likely dates for the hackathon are 18-20 May, 2018.
Amical Wikimedia and the WMF Technical Collaboration team will be partnering to organize and run the hackathon.
