@Lokal_Profil we need your leadership here. :) Can you list all the steps Oscar and team should follow in description? Also, can you ping Oscar with where he can get started to make this happen. They are motivated and I'm pretty sure we can make it work with your help. :)
fixed. there was a typo in description. This is about VE. sorry about the confusion.
Sorry for the delay, for some reason I didn't receive any notifications for this :-/
Here are the lists of monuments @Lokal_Profil : https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Monumentos_nacionales_de_Venezuela
@Lokal_Profil can you let us know what the status of this task is? Is it reasonable to expect that Venezuela's lists can be displayed directly from Wikidata this year? If not, what is the reasonable level of expectations Oscar and team should have? :)
Ok. The first task is to fill out the mapping at
Wikidata:WikiProject_WLM/Mapping_tables/ve_(es). You can take a look at e.g. the Wikidata:WikiProject_WLM/Mapping_tables/ir_(fa) | Iran or Wikidata:WikiProject_WLM/Mapping_tables/de-he_(de) | Hessen to see what needs to be done.
Are the id numbers (like AMAALO-0183) official numbers or were they invented for the sake of WLM? If they are official then you will also need to propose a property for it. Note that this takes at least one week to be approved.
side-note: @Oscar if time is limited on your end and given the time you need to request for the property, my suggestion is that you/we continue working on this task but you assume that you will use your current lists as they are on Wikipedia for this year's contest. Once the data is moved to Wikidata, we can work on creating your tables directly from Wikidata, but unless I'm missing something, I don't see a good reason why you should rush for it and put a lot of pressure on yourself. :)
Right, @Lokal_Profil the id numbers were created for the sake of the contest in 2013.
@LilyOfTheWest Roger that :)
Thanks. In that case a new property will not be needed.
I still agree with @LilyOfTheWest though that running with your existing lists for this years competition is probably the way to go. That gives you more time to fill out the mapping table and for us to migrate the data.
Bot request up for review at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Requests_for_permissions/Bot/AndreCostaWMSE-bot_17
@Oscar Most of the monuments have now been uploaded but the bot detected the following cases where two (or more) monuments linked to the same article and so were tried to be added to the same Wikidata item. If you (or anyone else subscribed to this ticket) has a chance to resolve this then I can re-run the import for these objects.
The conflict is most often caused by one of the following situations:
This open task is tagged with Wiki-Loves-Monuments 2017 which was three years ago. If this task was/is resolved, then please update the task status. If this task was not resolved but is still valid, then please update the project tags to include at least one active project tag, so this task could be found when looking at that other project. (Without reaction, this task might get declined at some point.) Thanks a lot!
Removing Wiki-Loves-Monuments 2017 tag as that was three years ago; adding general Wiki-Loves-Monuments tag.
