When attempting to translate some paragraphs, a 500 status is returned for some paragraphs, with the json {"status":500,"type":"internal_error","title":"Error","detail":"Source text too long: en-ro","method":"POST","uri":"/v2/translate/en/ro/Yandex"}
Yandex translation cannot be disabled and the paragraph cannot be translated at all.

Yandex is not working on the CX2 testing server (T191856), but it is expected to work in the real Wikipedias. To access version 2 on a real wiki you can add the version=2parameter to the URL, or use this link. I have tried Yandex in production and I was not able to reproduce the issue. Can you confirm where are you experiencing the issue and provide more details on the article and the languages you used?

I have only seen this issue in production (actually I think I mistagged this ticket witch CX2-testing), last that I remember when translating https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Antietam to Romanian. I couldn't translate the first paragraph in "Aftermath" and the one about "Matthew Brady's gallery".
I haven't seen it recently, though. After an update that also made V2 look a lot like V1, all paragraphs were translated successfully.
