@JMinor my assumption was that the app wouldn't migrate existing saved or cached articles to the new endpoint but rather just switch over new fetches to the new endpoint. Is that the intent or should we migrate existing data as well for some reason?

Yeah, I don't think there is any requirement to re-fetch or migrate existing on device data. Just adoption for fetches of media going forward.
