The Edit Task form of an existing task should expose the 'Due Date' field
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Any existing task should be able to become a Deadline by editing the task. We should expose the Due Date field on the Edit Task form.

Event Timeline

ugh that's annoying. well what do you do, eh?

What does it display on the task board if there is no due date? Shouldn't it just omit that information completely?

I'm afraid that I don't understand the questions. If a task has no due date, no due date is displayed for that task on the workboard. What to "omit" where?

I could add the field to all tasks but that would be distracting on the majority of tasks which wouldn't use it.

I'm asking why it's distracting... is the field distracting or the display of the null value distracting? If it's just the field, I don't think that's a big deal.

It's just another field on the already long list of fields to fill out when creating a task.

Well it would be nice if it could be added to the edit task form and not the create task form. That way it's not there when creating, but it can be added/removed at any point in the future.
