LiquidThreads has confusing interaction with "watch" feature
Open, LowestPublicFeature

Description

When a user replies to a LiquidThreads thread, the checkbox says to "watch this page." I don't know if that's supposed to be "watch this thread," or if that just means you'll now be watching the discussion header talk page thing. This is confusing.

Another issue: currently on strategy wiki (MW 1.16wmf4 (r70933), Liquid Threads Version 2.0-alpha (r71061)), having both "Add pages I create to my watchlist" and "Watch threads that I create or reply to" preferences checked (but not "Add pages I edit to my watchlist"), if a "create" a talk page i.e. I create the first thread, the talk page (and associated content page) is not added to watchlist as expected (and as usual with normal discussions), although the talk page is [automatically] created (testcase: http://strategy.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Wikimedia_Foundation_fundraising&action=history ).

Duplicate of Bug 20541?

Not really, that's only about where things are shown while this is about what is watchlisted; I'd call that a dependency.

LiquidThreads has been replaced by StructuredDiscussions on all Wikimedia production wikis (except one, which will be done soon). It is no longer under active development or maintenance, so I'm re-classifying all open LQT tasks as "Lowest" priority.
