Archive #WMF-Product-Development-Process if not an active project; decline its open tasks
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/profile/38/ states that This project [...] stopped around May 2015.

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/WMF_product_development_process is still marked as a draft and has not seen updates since 2016.

If this is not an active project anymore, then it should be archived and its open tasks cleaned up.

If this is an active project then it would be great to edit the project description to explain which WMF team is resonsible for this (or provide pointers who to ask instead...). Thanks in advance! :)

Event Timeline

@Elitre, @Keegan: Does any of you know or could provide more info? Thanks in advance!

I don't think so.
I think it would be fair to say nobody is working on it - to our knowledge.
WPG is the closest thing to that currently.

Aklapper triaged this task as Lowest priority.
Aklapper renamed this task from Is #WMF-Product-Development-Process still an active project? to Archive #WMF-Product-Development-Process if not an active project; decline its open tasks.Oct 5 2020, 11:26 AM

Archived project tag; mass-declined its 14 open tasks.

Wondering what to do with https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/WMF_product_development_process and its many subpages.
Maybe add {{historical|See [[Wikimedia Product Guidance]] instead.}}?
