[Bug] Difficulty selecting text when editing
Open, MediumPublicBUG REPORT

Description

https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom;TicketID=11466681

When editing articles, it is difficult to select text on the bottom row or even move the cursor there. Selecting text also causes issues when altering font size while text is already selected.

"In the video I am searching for the word nacelle so I can add a link to the relevant article. I successfully locate the word, but when I tap it, instead of selecting the word, the screen scrolls up to the top of the section. I repeat the search, and the bug is also repeated.

It isn’t necessary to use the search function for the bug to appear.

Then I try to use a workaround, which involves touching and holding the word instead of simply tapping it. This part of the video is rather atypically successful, as I’m able to select at least the preceding word on the first try. However, in most instances, touching and holding the word invokes select-all, and the screen also scrolls up to the top of the section. When this happens it is difficult to unselect the text, so I will either back out of the editing screen and start again or, more commonly, just give up, because it is likely to happen repeatedly.

Hope this is helpful."
