Rationale

• Edit summaries are an opportunity for people communicate to others the change they are making and the reason(s) they are making it
• If edit summaries are extended to support "richer" information, people will be more expressive in the edit summaries they write.
• The more "expressive" / "descriptive" the edit summaries editors write are, the more interesting and legible they will be to people who are new
• The more "legible" and intriguing edit summaries are, the more likely people who are new will be able to visualize/understand what Wikipedia edits "look like" and why/how they are made.
• The more clearly someone can "see/read" Wikipedia edits, the more likely they will be to start making them themselves
