We are currently governing our data with a mix of documentation, implicit rules in scripts, manual work, and tacit knowledge. With this task we aim to refactor as much data governance as possible into a single tool. Apache Atlas has been considered but there are other candidates. We are working on a design document here. Right now this is a collaboration among several teams.
