As of now dashlets are not very interactive. You can save as a PDF, export to csv, or add contacts to a group. However, when you search for contributions or contacts you have many more options: Update contributions, update contacts, email, etc.
How possible is it to get these types of options for reports/dashlets as well?
Case: We have a contribution report for all $5k gifts in a given week that we also have as a dashlet. We'd like to bulk update the Thank you Date for those contributions but the dashlet does not give us this option. We have to do a separate contribution search to have the options we need to do this.
