@DStrine and @Eileenmcnaughton adding to this task. I've been working with @jkim_wikimedia to get her event activities updated for future events and the batch updating activities is becoming a bit of a headache for her since she needs to update groups of contacts of 5000 and over and Civi times out frequently. Is there any way around it?

@cwdent yep that did the trick, thanks for the help.
@cwdent I know I thought it wasn't going to expire for a while. I did have to restart my laptop yesterday but that's it. Any ideas on what I can do?

@eileenmcmaughton can you confirm if there is a limit on the number of contacts we can mail for a scheduled mailing please? I've figured out how to create a template email, but am not sure if the limit is set at 50. If the limit can be changed that would be great.

@Eileenmcnaughton I think this is fine as it's not a search we will do every day but good to know we can search this field.

Thanks @Eileenmcnaughton this is great!

@Eileenmcnaughton - I compiled it for this year already, but it's was a pretty slow going process. Any suggestions on to make this process less time consuming would be great, lets discuss in our Civi check in or we can hold off until early 2017 if need be.
Nov 14 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton did you see Fundraising Mailing 2016 for the direct mail appeal?
@Eileenmcnaughton I noticed MGAnnual_2016 order number 174 in the direct mail appeal list is still showing up
@Eileenmcnaughton it's still showing as MGAnnual_2016.
It's still the MGAnnual_2016
@Eileenmcnaughton can I go ahead and test it to see if it works?
Nov 10 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton update from Engage, is all is working fine now. Thanks for fixing this so quickly
Nov 9 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton I just spot checked the most recent donation for this contact -
2117481 and it looks like its all good, thank you.
@Eileenmcnaughton Leanne is out of the office. I will get them to retest and let you know.
Oct 27 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton i'm not sure why I changed the value as well. I've changed them back now and also changed 11 to K. Does all look ok from your end now?
@Eileenmcnaughton yep they've dropped off. Thank you.
Oct 12 2016
Thanks for deploying this, such great news. It also worked instantly for me.
Sep 21 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton - one thing Leanne and I thought would be helpful to assist in manual merging especially when there are numerous email addresses would be to add in the Primary Location check box for email addresses like we have for Postal addresses.
@Eileenmcnaughton I did 3 merges and they appeared to work correctly for me.
Sep 19 2016
Aug 31 2016
Update I just tried to do the merge again and it worked ok but it would be good to keep an eye on this as @LeanneS has had some issues with manual merging also.
@Eileenmcnaughton and @DStrine Virtue and I just reviewed the report and it looks great. We made some edits to the columns which I saved, see here - https://civicrm.wikimedia.org/civicrm/report/instance/85?reset=1&output=criteria
Aug 17 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton just checking in on this, do all the changes we've recommended make sense?
Aug 12 2016
@DStrine and @Eileenmcnaughton - Virtue has looked at the test report and has recommended some changes to the layout/formatting of the report. Are we able to move all the contact information, specifically the address information to the far right and also move the deceased column to the far right? The main idea is that this report should be a quick glance at who's we need to move this quarter/year and what the info on the potential gift is.
@Eileenmcnaughton I tried to change the Pipeline Report prototype David created to make it a Constituent (contact) report instead of a contribution based report and I keep getting a Gateway error message. Are you able to edit the report David did for us - https://civicrm.frdev.wikimedia.org/civicrm/report/instance/95
so its contact based report.
Aug 10 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton i'm just taking a look at this again, there are duplicate rows for this report also? Is this because its a contribution report and not a contact report?
@Eileenmcnaughton thanks for the update. I'll test it out and let you know if there are any issues.

Jul 27 2016
@DStrine - Ah sorry I see the Next Step field on the actual Prospect tab but not in the Column options for the report.
@Eileenmcnaughton that's a good point. We definitely need something to help us determine how to prioritize the list. I'm guessing %Likelihood is the field we'd use for this which is already included.
Jul 20 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton yes, they're both on production
@Eileenmcnaughton awesome, thank you.
@Eileenmcnaughton just to clarify, can Leanne and I add the gift source and financial type on staging and then let you know?
Jul 18 2016
@DStrine I tested this by doing the following search:
Jul 14 2016
@Eileenmcnaughton thank you, I'll close this out now.
@Eileenmcnaughton thanks. I did this and it looks as though it works. I wasn't sure whether we had to have FR-Tech make these kind of changes to ensure they were captured in the logs.

Jun 14 2016
Thank you both for the explanation, this makes more sense now. I'll go ahead and create a task in S7 for adding the donor in question.
Jun 13 2016
@Aklapper sorry I'm a little confused here as to what the next steps for Major Gifts are. Has the name been added to the Annual Report? And if not, do I add the name that we want added to the S7 space that was created?
@Eileenmcnaughton this makes total sense and thanks for the explanation.
Jun 10 2016
@LeanneS this is something we can discuss in our check in next week as it might be something we can update ourselves by adding custom fields. Lets have a look at what we'd like to add/remove and update this task accordingly.
Jun 9 2016
@CaitVirtue this is some we can do ourselves, I've made the changes and added in the extra field. Take a look and let me know if you'd like me to change anything.
Jun 1 2016
May 13 2016
Hmm @CaitVirtue i'm not sure if this is a quick fix for when we next need to do international mailings/emails but I just opened the csv file from Civi with LibreOffice which gives you this screenbelow. I selected OK and then copied the data from LibreOffice, pasted into Excel as Uni-code and saved it as an xlsx file and it seemed to save the special characters.
I just tested this in Civi by searching for all donors from Sweden who donated $500 and over, then exported and opened the csv file in Excel and the special characters were still garbled. I can look into if there's a way in Excel to fix this and let you know what I find.
Jun 24 2015
@awight confirmed they can enter additional gift sources.
Jun 23 2015
@awight yeah this is tricky one. The relationship field can be used to assign an employee to an organization and vice versa or to link two individuals together e.g. spouses, siblings, executor of a will etc. There isn't a pattern to linking, if we know a person is associated with a given organization we link them and there isn't a small list to pick from, it more based on knowledge we gain from communication with the donor.
Jun 22 2015
@awight drop it from the Org template I think, leave it for the Individual import though as we do get instances where donors request to be addressed by either a Prefix or Suffix.
@awight yeah we don't overly use the Prefix and Suffix anyway, so good to drop I think.
Jun 20 2015
I check the soft credit imported for the test contributions and it looks good to me.
Jun 15 2015
@awight sounds good. Let me know if there's anything I need to do my end with Engage.
@awight oh no, is there an easy fix for this for the already imported files? Or any suggestions going forward on what Engage should enter in these fields in the import file?
Jun 10 2015
@Dzahn I think we have a fr-all email address - firstname.lastname@example.org can she not be added to that mailing list?
@awight I can't download the file, there isn't an option for me to do this, I can view it and it looks like a text file. I
Jun 9 2015
@awight any update on this?
@atgo checking on this.
@awight I think you or someone in fr-tech initially set up the different templates for organizations and individuals so that they would be imported correctly under the correct contact types in Civi. Is this not the case? Attached is a file to show where we record the Name and Title in Civi..
Jun 4 2015
@awight that's cool, just wanted to let Engage staff know.
@awight was this fixed? Can Engage staff now save Community Gifts?
@awight Yes short names are fine as long as they do soft credit the correct contact record in Civi. Since there are other records that might have fidelity in their name e.g. fidelity investments, fidelity brokerage services.
Jun 3 2015
Oh it send before I meant it to.
@awight this looks great to me. I do actually enter Chapter Gifts by hand so its good to have this included.
@awight ideally it would be good to track both these things if we can. For example, it would be good track in all instances who has modified a record in Civi as well as who has created the record. Is this possible?
