Event Timeline

HTTPS certificate of wikiwho.net has expired.

Everything is working for me, and wikiwho.net's certificate isn't set to expire until next month. Are things still broken on your end?

For me at the moment also everything is working now again.

MusikAnimal moved this task from Backlog to Complete on the XTools board.

I'll assume WikiWho fixed it, then. Please re-open if anyone is still having problems.

Tkarcher subscribed.

The same error is back again (as reported in various discussions in the German Wikipedia).

We recently moved the WikiWho installation in-house (T288840) and are still ironing out some final issues. This appears to be one of them.

There were actually two problems:

  • The workers that process incoming changes to Wikipedia went down for some time a few days ago. We got the workers running again, but they unfortunately don't backfill any changes that were missed. Instead, these are loaded on demand. So for some articles you may see an error, but try again in ~10 minutes and it should work and continue to work from then on.
  • We had some per-IP throttling set on the API that was getting applied to XTools. This doesn't work for us because our IP is static so we can easily exceed the throttling limits. I have fixed this by setting the throttling amount to something really high, effectively disabling it entirely.

Both problems should be fixed now. @Tkarcher Thanks for flagging this issue! If you see this error again, try reloading after 10 minutes. If you still see the error, please let us know by re-opening this task. Thanks!

Hello,

the error is appearing again.

Could you try again? We've just had T351172: WikiWho is down, so hopefully things are working again?

Thanks a lot, it is working again.
