Make MediaSearch the default search experience for all users
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

On April 1st we made MediaSearch the default search landing page for anonymous users. We have not experienced any blockers, and therefore plan to move forward with the plan to make MediaSearch the default search landing page for all users, including logged-in users.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Both anonymous and logged-in users should see MediaSearch as the default search landing page when performing a search from the top right search bar on Commons
  • Users can still choose to opt out of this change via their preferences

This change should go live on the train the week of May 10th, 2021.
