Disable/remove BookMaker from enwikisource
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The BookMaker tool (https://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Book) is thoroughly broken and has been for years.

It's cluttering up the enWS sidebar and making the new WS Export links harder to find (and those links do produce useable export output, including print-ready PDFs).

Can we have this turned off entirely, or should we just kill the links where we find them with CSS?

I think $wgCollectionDisableSidebarLink = false; would do it. That way if people still want the tool they can use it, but it's not advertised everywhere and taking attention from the better WS Export links.
