Description

Change the copyright warning for Mediawikiwiki's Help: namespace to CC0. This is currently communicated using an editnotice for namespace 12 but it should be done similar to the Data: namespace on Commons.

If a developer feels like this isn't an uncontroversial request let me know and I'll post a notice to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Village_Pump. Personally I don't see any potential for controversy with this one, but I know how you want to be extra careful sometimes so no hard feelings either way.

This sounds like a good solution (and much better than relying on just people understanding the page notice), but sadly as with similar such changes we'll need this to go via Legal.

(Technically, we'd want to do this as a change to WikimediaMessages to add a bespoke site copyright footer, like we do for Wikidata, Commons, etc..)

Patches got merged but the footer stays unchanged. Is there anything missing?

The config change was reverted in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/mediawiki-config/+/790337, so the new footer has not been deployed. I just ran into the unused messages in WikimediaMessages, and I'm wondering whether this change is still desirable, or whether the best course of action would be to remove them.

We should do this, yes; trying to remember, two years after the fact, what didn't work about it. Would you be able to take it over?
