Is this when following a notification? Or when reloading the page while drafting?

I intended this ticket to be about reloading the page while drafting a comment and for T304579 to be about designing the user experience for when following a notification about a comment that has since been deleted.

I've updated this task's name to resolve the ambiguity you named above. Please adjust as you see fit.

ppelberg renamed this task from Better communicate to people when a comment has been deleted to Better communicate to people when a comment has been deleted after reloading the page.Mar 29 2022, 11:24 PM

So with the implementation of the edit conflict warnings, we will now show the "parent comment deleted" if we detect it during one of our regular polls (every 5 seconds). This means it is now less likely that users will reload the page as they will have seen the parent comment deletion warning already.

This warning currently looks like this:

If you do reload the page your draft is just "lost".
