@useigor: This is unrelated to the MediaWiki codebase but to settings, and this is not about all and every Wiktionary but only enwiktionary.

@Aklapper: I tried to find useful tags to make this task easier to find and avoid being stale for years. Tag names are not descriptive and tag links lead to board which lacks description, so it requires 2+ clicks to find tag description.

• #wiktionary-en is absent (unlike Wiktionary-fr), so i tried #wiktionary and it redirected to All-and-every-Wiktionary. Its subproject list is empty and its description does not tell where language specific tasks must be placed.
• (1) Wikimedia-Site-requests, (2) MediaWiki-Configuration and (3) MediaWiki-User-management are confusing. I suppose they correspond to:
  • phabricator: (1) /source/mediawiki-config, (2-3) /source/mediawiki
  • git: (1) [[git:operations/mediawiki-config]], (2-3) [[git:mediawiki/core]]
  • gerrit: (1) [[gerrit:plugins/gitiles/operations/mediawiki-config]], (2-3) [[gerrit:plugins/gitiles/mediawiki/core]]
  • other: (1) https://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/, (2-3) ???

8-9 months have passed, it is time to progress or abandon.

enwiktionary is large (2022.08.27: 8 bureaucrat, 16 interface-admin, 107 sysop, 1991 active users, 3.9m registered users, 7.1m current pages, 68.7m page edits) but response to the proposal is little (4-5 users, 2022.09.06--13) and indifferent. I think it could get more responses if it was structured like phabricator and not simple text that can't be filtered by tags.

Proposal discussion can interpreted in 2 ways: 1) no cons = passed, 2) no pros = failed. If the only obstacle is absence of volunteer, then i can try to commit the code by myself.

Tag names are not descriptive

Hi, you can use the magnifier icon next to the Tags field to see short descriptions of each project tag. All "useful tags" are already added to this ticket currently...
