Description

Version: WikipediaApp/7.0.1.2016 (iOS 16.1.1; Phone)

The “In the news” article at the top of the page has displayed the same article for over a month.

When clicking on the “More current events” link, it lists the date as Friday, January 21

I advised the user to remove the app. and install it again as it's working fine on my device.
They replied that they did this already, and it is still happening, and sent the following screenshot.

@ARamadan-WMF If we could get their iOS settings under Settings > General > Language & Region (particularly their calendar setting), that would be very helpful. Thanks!

This in the news article is from 2022, so it is a bit strange that the card is showing at the top of their explore feed and above the 'Today' header, where no content should appear

@Tsevener I asked the user; once they reply, I will post the answer here.
