Description

I used gmail's "Vacation responder" feature during the end of year break.
I have returned to dozens of "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" emails.
They all seem to correlate with the timestamps of emails I received for Watchlist updates.
I don't recall this problem happening before.
I know the gmail feature avoids auto-responding to messages that are from mailing-lists, but I'm not sure how.

I wonder if something has changed with the Enotif message, or gmail, and if it could be looked into?

Change 988983 had a related patch set uploaded (by Ayounsi; author: Ayounsi):

[mediawiki/core@master] Add Auto-Submitted header to UserMailer

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/988983

I'm no MediaWiki expert but I think the patch I sent is what's needed.

We rolled similar changes across the infra (for example in T347835: Add Auto-Submitted: auto-generated header to emails sent by scripts).

This is still broken. Screenshots that might be helpful at F41777576 and F41778301 (I'm glad I checked, before signing out of everything for my wiki-break! Which I will now do.)
