To my understanding, Proofread Page uses parser hooks and therefore qualifies for migration under the Parsoid extension API: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Parsoid/Extension_API. This lack of proper Parsoid support is already having an impact on Wikisource as reported in T319258 (at some point, the REST API switched to using Parsoid and is breaking book exports).
