In T345713 we fixed the maintenance script fixLinkRecommendationData that counts dangling records on the ES indices. After the fixed script run (in dry-mode) it revealed a high number of dangling records in several wikis. Running the script on the affected wikis reduced the records to its minimum in some wikis, however others still present a high number of records after.

The pool of dangling records has a direct impact on how we filter link recommendations producing pagination issues like T345713.
