Description

As an engineer, I want to create a new branch called mirror for our main API so that I can set up the code mirroring process for the codebase.

Acceptance criteria
A new branch with the API source code has been created.

To-Do

create a new mirror branch
review the code and make sure everything is working properly
publish the latest code to the new branch
