Android app search gives only one result; desktop and mdot first hit is better

1. focus search input at top of page on enwiki (desktop or mdot) or Android app
2. input "4th avenue 9th Street", hit enter
3. first hit on web is better than only hit on Android

first 3 on web:

Android shows only [[Sun Link]]

how does Android decide whether to just look at title matches or search further?
