Pages with ARCHIVEDTALK should not have a subscribe button
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Pages with ARCHIVEDTALK magic word should not have a subscribe button in both page and sections. Since there will be no new sections/comments in the archived talk, it makes no sense to "subscribe" to it.

Steps to reproduce

Go to az:User talk:Nemoralis/Qaralama with DiscussionTools enabled. You will see [subscribe] button in section name and Subscribe in "Tools" section.

Hm, having subscribe buttons for topics may actually be the correct behavior, since sometimes topics do get unarchived. If there is a topic very interesting to me that got archived and I found it, I would still try my luck and subscribe. And if a topic I'm subscribed to gets archived, it makes sense for me to be able to unsubscribe from it. As for pages, you're probably right (archived sections don't trigger a new topic notification, right?).

(archived sections don't trigger a new topic notification, right?).

And even if they do, these notifications don’t make much sense, since the topics are not actually new. However, if the subscribe link is removed, please make sure that people can still unsubscribe – there may be subscribers when __ARCHIVEDTALK__ is placed on the page.
