Convert Special:GlobalBlockList to the same tabular format as Special:Blocklist
Closed, ResolvedPublic2 Estimated Story PointsFeature

Description

Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where):

Convert Special:GlobalBlockList to the same tabular format as Special:Blocklist instead of listing global block log entries

Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):

  • The log line format is more difficult to compare overlapping blocks with different block settings

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):

  • Local and global block lists are available in the same format
  • Tabular format makes the information presented easier to read/compare

Event Timeline

This may make T377034 easier to achieve, considering that the current line format does not support autoblocks. Furthermore, the problem described in the use case section of the description will get worse with autoblocks.

For QA please check that the data displayed in Special:GlobalBlockList before and after this change has not changed (instead the formatting of the data, including the use of the table has changed).

QA has been completed (The formatting of the data is displaying as expected, and the pre-existing GlobalBlock information that was displaying before the new code change is still intact and displaying with the new formatting/table layout).
