I thought that the parser output would wind up in the parser cache, which would mean that we have to force the content language (or somehow fragment the cache by user language) to avoid a situation like the Cite extension's bug 31216.

But it turns out that it's ''not'' actually being saved in the parser cache. Should that be fixed? And if so, should we then not do anything about this bug report or should we figure out how to fragment the cache by user language for module pages?

As for it using the English message, that's because this message doesn't seem to be translated yet for pt.

That part I fixed[1] a few minutes ago, but I had to grep[2] the extension's code to find the name of the message...
