We are currently using a hack[1] to make VisualEditor to be the default edit mode on Portuguese Wikibooks.
Could someone make it the default in the right way?

I assume, because the JS is in place by default, that community consensus has already been reached? Could you provide a link for completeness' sake?

Sorry, I missed that. If there have been no objections from the community I guess it is OK to proceed then.
