@Aklapper

Could I please be added automatically as a subscriber to any new tasks requesting the installation of the EducationProgram Extension? I thought that this was already the case, but apparently not, since I'm just seeing this task now. :\

I am joined to the parent project as a member. And I visited the project board many times in May. But by then, this task was already closed. And I had filtering set to open tasks only.

I have every since possible email notification enabled. And I do receive many updates. But I got none for this task.

I do hope to avoid similar lapses going forward, and I thank you in advance for your help in assuring that.

@Amire80

Thank you for requesting installation of the EducationProgram Extension on Hebrew Wiktionary, and thank you for socializing it with the community on wiki. Congratulations on the deployment! I hope it will be helpful for Hebrew Wiktionarians. :)

I would like to learn more about how and for what it will be used by that community especially because this is the first Wiktionary to deploy it. I tried to read the posts on the Community Portal, but Google Translate isn't great going from Hebrew to English, in my opinion. It's kind of choppy and hard to follow.

I'd love to have a conversation with you about this, either by Skype or Google Hangout. Or feel free to send me an email <akoval@wikimedia.org>, so we don't bother other subscribers to this task with OT discussion.

I would also like to share with the wider education community this good and happy news. We typically announce every new extension installation in our monthly education newsletter.

Here are a few examples of the simple announcements we've shared recently:

Catalan Wikipedia deployment article: https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/October_2014/Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Catalan_Wikipedia

Dutch Wikipedia deployment article: https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/October_2014/Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Dutch_Wikipedia

Ukrainian Wikipedia deployment article: https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/October_2014/Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Ukrainian_Wikipedia

Russian Wikipedia deployment article: https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/April_2015/Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Russian_Wikipedia

Latvian Wikipedia deployment article: https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/April_2015/Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Latvian_Wikipedia

I've begun a draft article about this deployment in the newsroom on Outreach wiki here:

https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/Newsletter/Newsroom#Education_Program_Extension_enabled_on_Hebrew_Wiktionary

Feel free to add to it! Or, if you're too busy, I will update it after I hear back from you about the information I'm seeing above. :)

Could I please be added automatically as a subscriber to any new tasks requesting the installation of the EducationProgram Extension?

Hi @AKoval_WMF, at least for Wikimedia-Site-requests I don't see how that is technically possible (as any site configuration requests end up there, not only the EducationProgram extension).
For receiving notifications for tasks under Wikimedia-Site-requests, see the help documentation. Thanks!
