https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:How_to_debug#Logging needs to be updated. In particular wfErrorLog() has been deprecated.

@bd808 wrote the replacement, maybe he can be bold. The extension/examples don't log anything (by design), and AFAICT the only extension that's cut over to MWLogger is EventLogging, because at WMF it uses a LegacyLogger to write to UDP, which is a bit advanced. Hmm.
