Please, add support of PT fonts («PT Sans», «PT Serif» and «PT Mono»):

The servers run ubuntu. If a ubuntu package was available, that would probably make this bug much easier.

Google suggests that the font has not been packaged for ubuntu as of yet: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/572061

I'm wondering if for things like fonts, using alien [1] is acceptable. I tried and i do get a .deb from one of those rpms

Faidon said 'no alien please'. So yea, needs "real" .deb packages.

This blog post links to an Ubuntu PPA with .tar.gz and .deb files. Dunno if that counts when it comes to repository maintenance, code review, security concerns.

There's a mail from 2010 about packaging that font: https://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-fonts-devel/2010-June/005162.html
(same author as the mentioned Ubuntu PPA). I've contacted the author for the Debian status (maybe it was denied in Debian for license reasons)

The Paratype font is now packaged in Debian (although not in the version we run on the image scalers/Thumbor, but we can easily fix that):

@Relli054w I suppose this request is still valid? Do we have an SVG on commons which exhibits the lack of that font?
