four tildes do expand when posting a MassMessage to a Flow page
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

When posting a MassMessage to a Flow page, the four tildes do expand to a signature. See an example in the first post here:
https://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%A0%D7%95%D7%A9%D7%90:Sh8futgqnvmfktkk

The expansion is correct, but it sounds like a somewhat odd corner case, so I figured I should post it here.

Feel free to close as invalid if it's intended.

Are you sure the user entered in 4 raw tildes? It should have expanded to the bot's signature instead of the senders. And secondly, MassMessage should strip the 4 tildes if they appear at the end of the message on Flow/LQT posts.

(I'm reading the discussion through google translate so I might be missing something...)

The message is signed by "MediaWiki message delivery", so it does help to have the signature there.

Should we add MassMessage support to Flow, so it actually attributes the post to the user who writes the message?

@Quiddity what do you think?

That's T71954: Add support to MassMessage to allow using the sender's username for deliveries.

"MediaWiki message delivery" is the author and appears in the normal author position on the post.

Chenspec-WMIL appears in the body, apparently since that was part of the message.

Seems invalid per what @Legoktm said.
