[Migrated] Change to use {{Official website}}
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Could AWB gen fixes change 'Official site: []' (or similar) to {{Official website|}}. I'm hoping with a bit of fancy reg-ex quite a few variations can be caught thus helping consistency.

This should be limited to "External links" section. It seems that can be one of the things we could implement.

Please link to a discussion showing that there is broad consensus to do this on en-wikipedia reads

"The purpose of this template is to provide a standard format for labeling links to official website"

Moreover, standardisation will help us move everything to Wikidata

This should not be applied when {{Official website}} is already in page

Aklapper changed the task status from Stalled to Open.May 12 2020, 8:22 PM

There seems to be nothing that this task is stalled on ("If a report is waiting for further input (e.g. from its reporter or a third party) and can currently not be acted on"), as the question has been answered. Hence resetting task status.

Aklapper removed Magioladitis as the assignee of this task.Jun 19 2020, 4:17 PM

This task has been assigned to the same task owner for more than two years. Resetting task assignee due to inactivity, to decrease task cookie-licking and to get a slightly more realistic overview of plans. Please feel free to assign this task to yourself again if you still realistically work or plan to work on this task - it would be welcome!

For tips how to manage individual work in Phabricator (noisy notifications, lists of task, etc.), see for available options.
(For the records, two emails were sent to assignee addresses before resetting assignees. See T228575 for more info and for potential feedback. Thanks!)
