Posted to the MediaWiki Developers Facebook group and the MediaWiki Users Linkedin group. There is also MediaWiki Linkedin group (where I can't post yet) and the MediaWiki Facebook page - I assume that last one is run by the WMF so someone can post there from an official account.

I now have access to the MassMessage tool, such a sweet tool it is <3 Message sent to the technical village pump list: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Distribution_list/Technical_Village_Pumps_distribution_list

@Tgr The official social MW accounts that we've, with help from Chris from TC, I will get access to it by Monday and will hopefully post over there!

I forgot, the engineeering list would probably also be a good place to announce - not all WMF devs read the public mailing lists.

I've posted about 'voting opens now' to the mailing lists. On most of the lists, message awaits moderator approval. I've reached out to the respective list admins. Shared the message with the Technical Village Pumps distribution list and through MW's twitter/ facebook channel. I've asked Nick to update the site notice.
