Currently, when trying to view all edits in a group, only the edits to the page in the project are displayed. This violates the UX, since the user expects all edits in the group version difference to be displayed.
Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Enable Expand watchlist to show all changes, not just the most recent in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-watchlist.
- Enable Group changes by page in recent changes and watchlist in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rc
- Enable Show Wikidata edits in your watchlist in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-watchlist
- Open https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Watchlist and find a collapsed block with edits from Wikidata
- Click on N changes
What happens?:
Empty version difference or version difference of only pages in the project is shown.
What should have happened instead?:
In the group diff it should be possible to see edits from Wikidata.
Original summary
There were 2 changes to the item connected with "Hilfe:Variablen" on Wikidata. They are linked correctly in expanded view, but the combined link ("2 Änderungen") links a local diff, which is wrong and confusing.
