Context: Cognate extension is providing the interlanguage links for Wiktionary on the main namespace. These links are not stored in Wikidata.
Some Wiktionaries have a "good entry" and "very good entry" system, just like the featured articles on Wikipedia. Currently on Wiktionary, this labelling is made through categories (at least on the wikis that I checked).
French Wiktionary users would like to have badges displayed next to the links to indicate the quality of entries, just like it is done for Wikipedia.
For Wikipedia, this information is stored on Wikidata, where one can enter a badge when editing the links.
For the main namespace on Wiktionaries, this feature should be added to Cognate.
Examples:
- A "good entry" (bonne entrée) on French Wiktionary: Abeille
- The category "good entries in French" on French Wiktionary: Catégorie:Bonnes entrées en français
Todo:
- find more examples (other languages?)
- investigate feasibility
Discussion happens here (in French).
