Ask for community feedback on the results from 2017 DevSupport
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

This feedback focuses on the impact/use on the implemented 2017 wishes. For feedback on the process see T205247: Ask for community feedback on the 2017+2018 DevSupport wishlist process
Once the three remaining Citoid-translators (T187024, T187025, T187026) have been deployed (and polyfilled) on svwp we should wait one or two months then ask for community feedback.

The feedback should be on whether our efforts (Citoid and ORES) has resulted in better Quality of Life/Edit for the editors. Whether to collect feedback as free-text replies on-wiki or through a form is left to be decided.

The feedback should be solicited directly from the participants in the 2017 wish list (and separately through the svwp village pump).

Event Timeline

We've received feedback that it has been hard to follow the development process, especially for someone who doesn't have the technical know-how to follow what's happening on Phab. We did create subpages for the selected projects, probably with some idea in mind that we should post updates there, but never did.

A proposal for this run is to write a log on each of the subpages, telling what's happened periodically (maybe every month). This should be in Swedish and understandable for someone not familiar with the technology. Shorter updates when something of note happens can be posted on Bybrunnen, as proposed in the feedback.

We are currently soliciting the feedback on the Wishlist procedure the talk page of the ongoing 2018 Wishlist. Part of that feedback has also been on the ORES parts of the deliverables.

I suggest we keep the feedback (about the process) going while suggestion and voting is going on, then summarise it all in this task description and post a link there.

Feedback on Citoid should probably be split of as a separate task since that feedback is probably best to ask for when we announce that more translators are live.

I've split off the feedback on the actual process.

I'll leave this task in In progress since ORES feedback is being solicited through the talk page of the 2018 Wishlist. That said additional feedback can be requested on this when we request the Citoid feedback.
