It also would be good to provide feedback if a template attempting to being inserted by citoid either has no template data or no maps value at all instead of the generic "unable to create a citation for you." This might be confusing to the general user but citoid has been enabled for years on some wikis without the problem getting fixed, so it's better to be temporarily confusing and get fixed by more technically inclined users than just failing silently (or maybe at least a console message?)
