The outcome should be that the extension is using the final CSS. This is likely the last step before broad release.

It seems this task has the status "Open, Needs Triage" but the page you linked to says "STATUS: Declined due to scope & conflict with Desktop Improvements project".
The report is for 2019 wishlist, this task itself is not declined. I mentioned it just for your information.
Final CSS is in the extension (though it may be tweaked), however the extension will not be deployed to WMF wikis.
