Survey translations works fine locally, but something strange is happening on the beta cluster:

In this case, the wmde-tw-template-survey-prototype2-answer-none message has a default, an /en, and a /de version and all messages have German translations, but even when using lang=de, we always get the English translations.

I learned that messages in the content language of a wiki cannot be customized under the /<lang> subpage, they must be saved under the default message key. For example, German should be saved at https://de.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Wmde-tw-template-survey-prototype2-answer-none and English at https://de.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Wmde-tw-template-survey-prototype2-answer-none/en because this wiki has content language de.
