Description

Deleting is "Issues related to deleting and undeleting pages and revisions, and hiding and unhiding revisions and log entries."

Revision deletion is "Deletion of individual revisions, revision suppression, username hiding"

So RevisionDelete is covered by both.

Revision Deletion is a feature that isn't turned on by default, and is different than the default delete process so they are different things and should be treated as such.

Read the description in bugzilla of Deleting component.

Since we seem to want separate components, I am marking this bug as WONTFIX.

Since we seem to want separate components, I am marking this bug as WONTFIX.

The issue is the description should be reworded.

Feel free to propose two new rewording. I am out of ideas for this.

Normal "delete" (which moves to archive table) doesn't (and can't) exist for log entries, the description for it is wrong.

I've modified the description for the "Deleting"-component from:

"Issues related to deleting and undeleting pages and revisions, and hiding and unhiding revisions and log entries."

to: "Issues related to deleting and undeleting/restoring pages and revisions (via action=delete and Special:Undelete)."

And modified the description of "Revision deletion"-component from

"Deletion of individual revisions, revision suppression, username hiding"

to: "Hiding and unhiding of individual page revisions, log entries and usernames and revision suppression."

Please re-open if you suggest a different wording.
