Indicate that mobile support is experimental
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

we expect the initial versions of Section Translation to still have some missing pieces. We want to release early to collect feedback as soon as possible from its use with real articles. However, we want to clarify the expectations.

This ticket proposes to include a notice at the top of the translation dashboard on mobile to communicate that the support is experimental.

SX will be only exposed to mobile devices.
In the first iteration CX and SX are not integrated yet with each other. Right now we have two separate dashboards: CX dashboard and SX dashboard.

  • Users on a mobile device will be redirected to the SX dashboard, in the same way that users on mobile are redirected to the mobile site (m.wikipedia.org).
  • Users on desktop will access the same CX tool they have been always using (without the banner)

In the SX test instance it is possible to access the SX dashboard with any device, which is convenient for testing but not representative of what will happen once it is available on a real wiki along CX.

In the future, the current SX dashboard will become a unified dashboard for both CX and SX, but it is not ready to replace the current CX dashboard yet since there are still key CX features missing.
