https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Template:Irc creates links to Freenode channels.
Seeing Libera Chat gaining popularity we may want to update that template.

The template now has a parameter 'libera', which can set where the template should link to freenode or to libera. In my opinion, we should switch directly to libera completely, because adding the parameter just creates a huge amount of work by having to use it everywhere.

Considering how often this template is used I would just suggest changing the template to direct to libera all the time. The number off channels linked in mediawiki, which are not on freenode yet is very low.
