Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This ticket involves the work with reviewing the conversations at the New Discussion Tool A/B test wikis to learn what – if any – reaction people had to the test starting.

Specifically, we are keen to learn the extent to which the presence of the New Discussion Tool surprised Senior Contributors to the extent that we ought to reconsider the decision we made in T270788#7483751 and prioritize work on T270788 prior to offering the New Discussion Tool as an opt-out feature at additional projects in T275256.

Event Timeline

Nobody has contacted me to complain about the New Discussion Tool, and nobody has reported problems in the sections where this change was announced. We chould check Special:Preferences settings to see how many people are opting out.

The French Wikipedia has a bot for adding signatures to detectable unsigned comments. The number of edits the bot has made since the New Discussion Tool was deployed has declined from an average of 55–60 per day before this change to only 30–35 per day now.
